Longtime Biden supporter David Letterman vows to appear at Martha's Vineyard fundraiser amid campaign crisis

Late night comedy legend David Letterman is set to headline a fundraiser for beleaguered Joe Biden. The former host of CBS's 'Late Show' will be headlining the Martha Vineyard-set fundraiser along with Hawaii Gov. Josh Green, at the home of one of the governor's friends. Letterman, 77, was touted as the evening's 'special guest', in an invite seen by Deadline.com. He has been seen as a longtime supporter and friend of Biden since his days as vice president, and his being scheduled signals that the president's campaign is forging ahead despite continued calls for him to bow out, even from former supporters.

Utah State cornerback Andre Seldon Jr. died on Saturday in an apparent drowning roughly 40 minutes from campus at Porcupine Reservoir, according to the school. A search began Saturday afternoon after callers reported that a young man seen diving from cliffs at the reservoir did not resurface, the Cache County Sheriff's Office said. His body was recovered by a dive team at around 9:05 p.m. 'Our investigation leads us to believe this is a tragic accident as multiple witnesses recount the same information,' the sheriff's office said.
