Calmac accused of breaching customers' security over their £18.5m online booking service | 828RQ38 | 2024-04-29 06:08:01
CALMAC was last night accused of breaching customers' security over their £18.5million online booking service.
A councillor told how personalised ticket details for ferry trips are being texted to the wrong numbers.

Alistair Redman, from Islay, Inner Hebrides, said: "Reference numbers and other info is going to random people.
"Some have not even travelled on ferries for years
"There's a host of reasons why you wouldn't want a stranger to know your movements.
"Numerous people have raised this with me.
"It's a serious breach of privacy."
Mr Redman said he's had messages with other travellers' plans multiple times in one day.
CalMac's IT update last May has been blamed for glitches.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Government-owned firm said a probe was under way into "a few incidences".
She added: "Thousands of customers have used the platform successfully.
"The new system is modern and offers significant benefits for customers."
