Top Democrats OMIT Kamala Harris from statements praising Joe Biden while party promises more soon on 'path forward' for nominating process
President Joe Biden may have endorsed his VP to replace him in November, but the nation's highest-ranking elected Democrats have not come out behind her yet. Biden sent shockwaves through Washington when he announced Sunday he would not be running for reelection in November. He quickly threw his weight behind Vice President Kamala Harris to take his place. But top Democrats, including former President Barack Obama, notably didn't mention Harris in their statements of support for the president, seemingly leaving the door open to another possible nominee.
