A British skier has died after crashing right into a tree at a resort in the French Alps.
The person, believed to be 68 years previous, was reportedly making an attempt to keep away from a gaggle of fellow skiers on the piste at Avoriaz in Morzine yesterday.
He hit the tree at high velocity and was pronounced lifeless at the scene, based on the Daily Mail.
His demise comes a month after another man died on the Swiss Wall close to Champery in Switzerland, also part of the Portes du Soleil region.
The 47-year-old was trying the piste – one of many world's most harmful – despite it being closed as a consequence of icy circumstances.
He's believed to have fallen a number of hundred metres to his demise on the ski run, which has a 37° common slope and as much as 76% gradient.
The skier was the third Brit to die on the slopes in an 11-day period between January and February.
Yesterday, a bus filled with Welsh schoolchildren travelling to a ski resort in the Austrian Alps hit a lorry on a German road.
Their faculty later confirmed no college students or employees had been harm in the crash.
